JJ Grey

After my “Paper Bag” encounter I made it in the Knitting Factory to catch JJ.  I heard from a few friends it was going to be a great show so I decided to check it out.  The VIP bar was closed when i walked in and when i sat down looking over the balcony the floor was empty minus 4 people dancing.  One of them happened to be a good friend of mine.  Once the headliners made the stage the floor filled instantly.  I was worried about the attendance and also thought to myself before JJ’s band started “where are all the people if this is supposed to be a great show?”  Fortunately for the venue and artists the audience was just holding out for the main act.  The music was good just not my style.  I would describe it as jam band meets rock.
